Terms & Conditions - Thrive

These Terms & Conditions apply to organisations that set up a Thrive account. By registering, you agree to the following terms.

1. About Thrive

Thrive is a dedicated account for organisations, venues, and groups to receive and manage support and contributions. Unlike Connect, a Thrive account is registered to an organisation rather than a person.

Typical Thrive users include:

  • Libraries & cultural venues

  • Music venues & performance spaces

  • Grassroots sports teams & community groups

  • Theatre companies & arts collectives

  • Virtual or digital communities

Payouts collected with Thrive go directly to the organisation's designated account.

2. Account Setup & Administrators

  • A Thrive account must have a primary administrator responsible for managing the account.

  • Additional co-administrators may be added to help manage settings and reports.

  • The organisation must ensure that all administrators comply with these Terms & Conditions.

3. Receiving Support & Payouts

  • A Thrive account can receive support from members, customers or visitors.

  • All funds are paid directly to the organisation’s linked payout account.

  • Organisations are responsible for managing funds received and any associated tax obligations.

  • Payouts are made according to Thrive’s standard payout schedule.

4. No Employment or Payroll Relationship

  • Thrive is not a payroll service and does not process wages, salaries, or employer-paid benefits.

  • No PAYE, tax, or employer NIC obligations apply to Thrive.

  • Organisations are responsible for any financial reporting, accounting, or tax obligations related to their received funds.

5. Fees & Charges

  • A 5% transaction fee (minimum £0.15) is applied to each incoming transaction.

  • A 5% payout fee (minimum £0.15) is applied to each payout.

  • Transaction fees and platform fees are automatically deducted at source and before payout.

6. Use of Data & GDPR Compliance

  • thankyu collects and processes data in compliance with UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

  • By registering for a Thrive account, the organisation agrees that thankyü may:
    Process data required for service operation and payout management.
    Contact administrators with service updates, payout information, and platform-related communications.
    Provide relevant partner offers and opportunities tailored for organisations.

  • Organisation and financial data will never be sold or shared with third parties outside of necessary processing partners (e.g., payment providers).

  • Administrators can manage preferences via account settings.

7. Account Suspension & Termination

  • thankyu reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account if it is found to:
    Engage in fraudulent or prohibited activities.
    Misuse the platform in ways that violate our policies.
    Breach applicable laws or data protection requirements.

  • An organisation may close its Thrive account at any time by contacting support.

8. Liability & Disclaimers

  • Thrive is provided "as is" and does not guarantee uninterrupted access.

  • thankyu is not responsible for financial management, tax compliance, or reporting on behalf of the organisation.

  • The organisation is responsible for ensuring it meets any applicable financial or legal obligations regarding funds received.
