Using thankyü Connect

Congratulations - you’re now set up as a thankyü Connect organisation. You can start receiving pooled tips and share them fairly and transparently with your team.

Your Primary Contact can now log in (using the OTP sent by email - check your Spam/Junk folders if it doesn’t arrive).

Things to do next

1. Add your team members

·       Use the Add Users feature in the portal.

·       You can add existing thankyü app users or invite new users by email.

·       Invited users will get an email with instructions to download the app, where they’ll also access thankyü Club.

2. Manage permissions

Once your team members are added, you can edit their permissions in the portal.

3. Set payment preferences

·       Choose the tipping amounts you want to display (minimum tip is £1.00).

·       These preset options will appear when customers scan your QR code.

·       A Custom amount option is always available.

4. Get your QR code

Download your organisation’s QR code and use it on:

·       Posters, stands, or cards

·       Menus or receipts

·       Social media posts

5. Define your payout policy

·       Decide how and when payouts will be made.

·       Document the policy and share it with your team so everyone knows what to expect.

6. Train your team

·       Sit down with your team to discuss how to ask for tips and explain how thankyü works.

·       Reinforce the message: tips are simple, transparent, and fairly shared across the team.

·       A little training goes a long way to boost confidence and results.

7. Make your first payout

Understand the payout process in the portal and run your first payout when ready.

8. Explore the portal

Take time to familiarise yourself with all the portal features so you can make the most of thankyü Connect.
